Monitoring Service Activity in the Megaport Portal
You can view service logs and usage reports for Ports, Virtual Cross Connect (VXCs), Megaport Internet connections, MCRs, MVEs, IXs, and NAT Gateways in the Megaport Portal. These logs and reports help you monitor service health, analyze performance, and troubleshoot issues.
If you want to access monitoring data programmatically, you can use the Megaport API. For more information, see the API documentation at dev.megaport.com, Monitoring Service Status with the API, and Setting up OpenMetrics for Service Monitoring.
Viewing service logs
The Service Logs page displays the activity and status of your Megaport services. For example, you can view the operational status of a Port or determine whether a BGP session is down on an MCR, VXC, or IX connection.
Metrics become available as soon as a service is live in the Megaport Portal. For Ports, the Billing graph begins reporting metrics when the Port goes live or 14 days after it is configured, whichever occurs first. For more information about Port billing and contracts, see Port Pricing and Contract Terms.
