Anapaya with Megaport Virtual Edge

The Anapaya platform is built on the SCION (Scalability, Control, and Isolation On Next-Generation Networks) Internet architecture, delivering secure, high-performance business data transfer with enhanced control and availability for critical applications and cloud environments.

Integrating Anapaya with Megaport’s MVE extends these capabilities to enterprises using Megaport’s global private SDN. Megaport provides the network underlay, while Anapaya manages routing policies, and secure communications across clouds, ISPs, and data centers. You use the Megaport Portal to create and order MVE instances and establish Virtual Cross Connects (VXCs) to cloud on-ramps and other services, with Anapaya delivering the overlay for policy-based, resilient, and secure connectivity.

Note

This documentation assumes you have working knowledge of SCION and a basic understanding of Anapaya appliances and deployment architectures.

When you create an Anapaya MVE in the Megaport Portal, the instance is deployed using a single Anapaya VM image. You configure the appliance role as EDGE, CORE, or GATE through the Anapaya management console, depending on your license and deployment requirements.
