# Updating a Company Profile

> This help topic describes how to update your company profile in the Megaport Portal.

Your company profile includes your account name.

Entering an account name is mandatory when signing up for a Megaport account. However, you can change the account name defined for your company profile.

<Note>
  The account name is the name the public sees, not the legal name of your company.
</Note>

**To update a company profile**

1. Visit the <Link href="https://portal.megaport.com">Megaport Portal</Link> and log in.

2. Choose User Menu > Admin Settings > Company Profile.

3. Edit your account name.

4. Click **Save**.
