# Megaport API Overview for Partners

> This help topic describes the Megaport public API for partners to access to Megaport services.

The Megaport API contains several endpoints to manage partner accounts. Partners can order, edit, terminate, and list services for a managed account.

As a partner, you can act on behalf of a managed account. The `X-Call-Context` header allows switching the request context from the partner company to a managed account. You specify the managed account's full company UID as the value of the header.

You can add the header to most of the standard API endpoints with a few exceptions, such as the notification preferences and pricing endpoints.
