# Creating an MVE Integrated with Aruba Overview

> This help topic provides an overview of configuration methods to create a Megaport Virtual Edge (MVE) with Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN.

This topic provides an overview of the configuration methods used to create an MVE integrated with Aruba.

You can configure the MVE using one of these methods:

* **Create a preconfigured appliance template in Aruba Orchestrator** -- In the Megaport Portal, you identify the MVE using the system tag associated with the template. Aruba automates the appliance approval and configuration process when using a system tag. This method eliminates the manual steps required to upgrade software, perform reboots, and apply device configurations. * **Configure the MVE manually** -- Manually create and configure a Megaport Virtual Edge (MVE) with Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN. Before you begin, you need user accounts with ordering permissions that provide access to the Megaport Portal and to Aruba.
